Using Fishbites For Winter Sight Fishing

Palm Coast, St Augustine Fishing Report 11/12/10

Lets start by saying that fishing has been red hot this week! Trout of all sizes are the easiest to target just about everywhere, docks, inlet, ICW, and creeks are full of them and I don’t even think the tide matters. Live shrimp on a 1/0 Daiichi circle hook and small split shot has been good to me this week as well as a Fishbites Paddle tail and Slayer Inc jig combo.

Redfish has been good to along the shallow flats as long as the wind is not blowing but if you don’t mind small redfish and just want to bend a rod check out the creeks in St Augustine as they have been loaded with rat reds. Live shrimp and mudminnows on Slayer Inc. jigheads is the top producer.

The last few days I had my great client Rich and Breezy fishing for reds and trout and it is easy to say we  caught plenty of trout along with some rat reds and black drum.  Here are a few pics and a video from this past week:

Fly and Spin Fishing Video

Here is a short video Capt. Tommy and myself have been working on while chasing redfish on Fly and Spin. As you can see in the video most of the fish are sight fished since our waters are crystal clear.
